3 Amigos

27 Oct

It’s Sunday and you’re hungry, but you don’t want to cook or go to an expensive restaurant. And since you’re a student, most restaurants are ‘expensive’. Therefore, there’s only one thing to do:  Go get $0.69 Tacos at 3 Amigos!

I actually only went a few times myself, but this was a weekly pilgrimage for many of my friends. It offers all the staples of a good Mexican restaurant, salads, fajitas, tacos, chillies, some fun desserts and of course they have a liquor license. It’s a nice environment to chat it up with friends and have a relaxed lunch. The one we always went to is down Rue Denis, it’s on the left, just down the hill from the Academic Center. If you get the tacos, there’s a way to do it. You have to buy four tacos initially, and then after that you can get whatever you want. I usually get two chicken and two beef, that way you can switch back and fourth and test which one you like better. Also, bear in mind they’ll get you with the drinks; you might only spend $3 on tacos but spend $6 on drinks unless you’re careful!

Also, I would HIGHLY recommend getting the fried ice cream. It’s like $6 but, wow, that’s one delicious dessert.

And that’s about all I can tell you: the only way to decide if you like this place is to go there yourself. Which you should. Next Sunday.
